In short, we talk about anything of interest to the group. There is no specific topic or speaker, we are just a small group of people with a common interest in speaking German to either maintain our language fluency, or to improve our German language skills.

10-year Anniversary of Tulsa-Celle-Partnership
Celle:
The Celle "Tag der Niedersachsen" from June 18 to June 20th, 2010, will coincide with the anniversary celebrations for three Celle sister cities (Tulsa, Sumy, and Holbaek). The city of Celle has invited 6 Tulsa City Officials to its official celebration ceremony.
The Deutsch Amerikanische Gesellschaft (Celle's German/American club) has graciously invited up to 20 members of the TCP to join it from around 6/17 to 6/24 to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Tulsa-Celle Sister City relationship. The DAG will find host families for the TCP members who need hosting and it is also considering sponsoring side trips to Lübeck and the Baltic sea, as well as to Goslar in the Harz Mountains. A farewell dinner is also being planned. This trip will allow us to take part in the Niedersachsen festivities and it will also be an occasion to celebrate our 10 years of successful friendship. Your Executive Committee is looking forward to working with the DAG to make this Partnership trip a very interesting and successful one.
18 TCP members have expressed an interest in participating in the Celle celebrations, and 10 of these travelers have already made plans to stay with local friends during their stay in Celle. We have been advised that Mayor Bartlett has already received a personal invitation to attend the Celle anniversary celebrations.
Tulsa
We have been advised that the Tulsa 10-year Anniversary celebration is scheduled to take place at TGA's annual Savoring Sister event. This meeting has been rescheduled from its regular April date to September 21st, 2010 to allow for an anniversary celebration for three of Tulsa's sister cities. Mayor Dewey Bartlett has invited Celle's Lord Mayor to come to Tulsa to participate in the celebrations. On 1/26/10, the Tulsa-Celle-partnership invited the DAG and its members to join us in Tulsa to celebrate our 10 years of friendship. Please let us know if you think of any activities which would help making this event a memorable one. Preliminary plans include the official TGA ceremony at the Sister Cities event (Celle officials and other Celle guests will be invited), and a possible party at the home of a TGA member. The Tulsa-Celle-Partnership has scheduled a celebration party on 9/22 for its members and their Celle guests, and the Willis family has offered to host an outing on their Grand lake property.
We thank Ed Lenfesty for volunteering to chair this important celebration. However, much work will be needed to make this a successful event and Ed will need help in coordinating the many activities which are being planned. Please contact Ed Lenfesty or Barbara Taron if you can help.
